Cut, don't talk.
BSP G Pipe Thread Cutting Set 1/8''–1'', 27-piece
The a+s ALBRECHT+SCHULTE tap and die set S504AS180 is designed for British pipe threads according to BSP G from 1/8" to 1". Six two-piece hand tap sets according to DIN 5157 made of HSSG and six HSS round dies according to DIN EN 24231 Form B form the core of the set. Together with two tap wrenches, five die holders, a thread template, and a screwdriver, it forms a complete tap and die set for pipe threads – neatly organized in a robust plastic case with EVA foam insert.
Tight, pressure-resistant, reliable.
BSP G for pipe threads with 55°.
BSP G (British Standard Pipe, parallel) is the classic thread standard for pipe connections in mechanical and plant engineering, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and many imported devices. Wherever liquid or gaseous media need to be safely conveyed, clean, dimensionally accurate pipe threads are crucial for leak tightness and operational reliability. The HSSG hand taps in this set ensure smooth cutting and high dimensional accuracy, while the HSS round dies create precise external threads on pipe stubs, fittings, and adapters, or repair damaged threads.
Suitcases & Organization.
Everything is in its right place.
The black plastic case with orange latches is designed for daily use in workshops and service vehicles. The precisely fitting black and orange EVA foam insert securely holds each tap, die, and holder. The individual compartments are labeled with the respective BSP-G size, so you can see at a glance which tool belongs where. The included a+s thread mat provides additional protection against scratches and also includes thread charts (M, UNC, UNF, BSW, BSP G) and an illustrated guide to correct thread cutting.
- Robust PP plastic case with the striking a+s “cutting instead of chatting” design
- EVA foam insert in black/orange for secure hold and quick overview
- Labeled compartments for all BSP-G sizes from 1/8'' to 1''
- Threaded mat with tables and step-by-step instructions inside the case lid
Advantages & Features.
Compiled for practical use.
This set is specifically designed for pipe threads according to BSP G. The combination of standard-compliant hand taps and dies, matching die holders, and two tap wrenches according to DIN 1814 enables the processing of a wide variety of connection situations – from easily accessible pipe ends to confined installation positions. The chrome-plated handles with die-cast zinc mounts are designed for high torques and provide a secure grip. The HSSG version of the taps ensures long tool life and clean cut surfaces, even in tougher materials such as structural steel.
- Six two-piece hand tap sets DIN 5157 HSSG for BSP G 1/8''–1''
- Six HSS circular dies DIN EN 24231 Form B for external threads 1/8''–1''
- Two adjustable tap wrenches DIN 1814 (No. 3 and No. 5)
- Five die holders according to DIN EN 22568 from 30×11 to 65×18
- WW thread template with 28 sheets, 55°, for quick thread identification
- 110 mm screwdriver for clamping and adjustment work on brackets and screws
So that the thread becomes tight.
Areas of application.
The BSP-G pipe threading set is the ideal choice when pipe connections need to be manufactured or repaired according to British thread standards. Whether for hydraulic and pneumatic circuits, in mechanical and plant engineering, in the maintenance of imported machinery, or in pipeline modifications: the combination of internal and external threading tools allows for both the creation of new threads and the re-tapping of damaged connections. Thanks to the two-piece hand taps, even larger pipe threads can be produced in a controlled manner with well-modulated cutting forces.
- Manufacturing and repair of BSP-G internal threads 1/8''–1''
- Cutting BSP-G external threads on pipe stubs, fittings and adapter parts
- Service and maintenance of machines, systems and units with pipe threads
- Repair and modification of imported equipment and hydraulic/pneumatic systems
- Use in workshops, service vehicles and during mobile repair operations
